Space piracy is never an easy career, and when your last big adventure saw you cross into another universe and get wrapped up in galaxy-shattering events, you end up getting a target on your back. Fortunately for Liz Bewick, she’s now the captain of her own ship and commands a loyal crew, among them Åsa Lindstrom, a former freighter captain who’s become smitten with the pirate life—and her new captain.

With the help of stolen subspace technology, Liz goes where she wants, and takes what she wants, and nobody can stop her. At least, it seems that way right up until somebody, with the help of a mysterious alien dreadnought, captures Hock Corven, her former captain whose ship was supposedly equally un-capturable.

With no idea who took him, or where he might have been taken, Liz nevertheless resolves to rescue Hock and sets her band of pirates in motion. Can she save her former captain? Or will her new crew fall apart from relationship troubles, unexpected passengers, and more?

Liz needs to remain focused, to keep her goal in sight, and not let anything distract her if she’s going to succeed.

That focus may just be her undoing…
